Our Mission

Birchview Haven is a home for wayward felines. Our primary goal is to provide a safe, permanent living space for feral cats that are in need of relocation and for abandoned or surrendered cats that are difficult to adopt because of behavioral issues. Our outdoor program is on hold for the time being, we haven't moved a colony in yet as we are still in the process of preparing the space. Our plan is to provide shelters, food, and clean water to allow these cats to live out their lives in safety while also employing TNR procedures to minimize the number of future generations. We will look for loving families for all adoptable cats and kittens while also recognizing that for some of the cats we take in, Birchview Haven will be their forever home. We are no longer a nonprofit organization as our fiscal sponsorship ended when the sponsor changed platforms. We do sell handmade, recycled, and repurposed jewelry and preserved, framed butterflies to help support this cause. We are on Etsy and do the occasional craft fair locally.
“A cat has absolute emotional honesty: human beings, for one reason or another, may hide their feelings, but a cat does not.”
– Ernest Hemingway
